Charlie's reaction to his first day of school: It was okay. They didn't really do anything. Lunch was good. But school was way too long. When asked what they did he said he made a lamb. Evidently they are learning about nursery rhymes the first week. He liked buying hot lunch, but has wanted me to make him something every day since. When asked who he played with at recess he said, "I just walked around and enjoyed the sunshine." He's really having a hard time with the longer days, but once he gets over that, I think he's going to have a good year.
Peter's reaction to his first day of preschool: "I gotted some snacks. And i like-ed my teacher. Um that's everything." We got to go with for the first day and he wouldn't stop talking. Everything that his teacher said prompted some sort of thoughtful response from him. But he had fun, and he's so excited about it. I'm wishing it was more than 2 days a week. I had a hard time getting a normal picture of him. When I ask him to smile, he starts whipping out the most ridiculous faces and poses! Hmmm. I wonder where he gets that from . . .
And just because he's so stinkin' adorable, here are a few pictures of Squish at 8 months old. He's all over the place! We have multiple child gates around the house to keep him safe. He's getting VERY opinionated, and screeches like you wouldn't believe if he doesn't get his way. He's a good eater, but a messy one. He LOVES to get in the big bath when I put like an inch of water in it and splash all over the place. His favorite toys are the colorful plastic spoons from Ikea, which are now scattered all over the house. He also likes to crawl to the big boys' room and play with their toys. If we ever don't know where he is, chances are he has made is way there.
