Feeling left out . . .

It seems like everyone has pumpkin patch pictures on their blog. I had to go find a pumpkin patch so that I could fit in. ;) Happy Fall Everyone!

Huge sigh of relief

The primary program is over! Yay! I know it's not that big of a deal and it always goes great because the kids are just so cute, but it still felt like this big thing hanging over my head. Now it's done and I can focus on Halloween. I've got our costumes almost done. I've decided not to do a party, but I will be having tacos and treats. I've got a plan for decorating our trunk for the ward trunk-or-treat. We'll be carving pumpkins for family home evening tonight. It's going to be a good week. I can't wait.

Now because I know you all love pictures, here are a couple more. Peter is crawling and Charlie is getting into everything. My boys are just so busy! I thought it was normal, but I've had a few people tell me that mine are busier than most. Maybe they inherited my mom's ADD.

Two Little Monkeys

Picture this. You two-year-old gets up at 1:30 in the morning, wide awake and wanting to play. You spend an hour and a half getting him back to sleep and think you've finally done it. You somehow manage to fall back asleep, but are awakened quickly by the sound of giggling. You sleepily walk into the next room to find your two-year-old in the crib with the 7-month-old . . . both giggling hysterically at 3:30 in the morning. Cute? Very. But I'm hoping it does not become a habit.

6 Months Old

A couple of weeks ago, Peter turned six months old. I can't believe how fast the time flies. And I would never have believed that it would go by even faster with the second one than it did with my first. Before I know it Peter and Charlie will both be lazy teenagers that I have to drag out of bed in the morning, instead of the cute kids that wake me up at 5 AM . . . okay so there are a few things that I'm looking forward to as they get older.

This was one of them. I was excited to start Peter on solid foods. It gives me more freedom (in theory) and it's stinking cute.



And then I have to add one of Charlie. He really wanted me to take a picture of his Wall-E coloring book. He didn't even really like the movie, so why he's become obsessed with the merchandise is beyond me. But he loves it, and lately he's been pretending to call Wall-E and Eve and talk to them on my cell phone.



Oh and by the way, Bakerella came up with some even cuter cake pops for Halloween than the ones I was going to copy. These look WAY harder, but also look like so much fun!

Halloween Treats

I'm trying to decide whether to have a Halloween party or not. I was planning on it until I realized that I've got practice for the primary program on the day that I wanted to have it. Hmmm . . . I may have to figure something else out. In the meantime, I wanted to share my ideas for the treats. Party or not, I'm going to need treats. Which do you think would be the most fun?

I got my Williams Sonoma catalog last month and saw these and immediately thought I could make them myself using Bakerella's cake pop recipe.
