What's for Dinner

Tonight I asked Charlie what he wanted to have for dinner. He replied, "Pizza and Cheerios and chocolate milk." So that's what we had and it was perfect. He is such a little boy.

Ready

I've got a whole pan of Peanut Butter Nutella Brownies. I've got a glass of milk. I'm all warm in my pajamas. I've got a blanket. Mike will be home from scouts any moment. We've got a nice big T.V. . .

Yeah. I'm ready. The season premiere of Lost starts in just 10 minutes.

Spending our tax refund a little early . . .

Because we had decided what we wanted to do with out tax return, and because Mike REALLY wanted it before the Superbowl, we went to Target and did something stupid yesterday.

Mike is ecstatic.

And because I wanted a little something too, I bought myself some of these from Target's Valentines Day section. I just fell in love with them.

Sigh of Contentment

I'll admit, I've been a little down lately. The biting cold does that to me. I need to move somewhere that has Spring for five months, a month of Summer, Fall for five months and then a month of Winter. If anyone knows a place like that please tell me where it is.

But today was a good day. The snow started melting (the snow in the picture used to be our snowman) and it made me think of Spring. I know it won't last, but today it felt good. I played with the kids . . . nothing special, just hanging out. Their naps overlapped and I got on the internet and watched my cousin on last night's episode of The Real World Brooklyn on the internet. I never really got into the show before, but knowing someone on it makes it a whole new kind of entertaining. I actually laughed my head off. Mike got home and we ate dinner together. Now as I'm writing this, I'm listening to Charlie read a book in his bed. It's completely dark in there, but I can tell he's reading about Mater and the Ghostlight. He's telling the story very well in his limited vocabulary. Peter's asleep, although he'll probably be up again in about five hours.

Still . . . life is good.

Nothing to blog about . . .

Nothing to make into it's own post anyway, but there are a few interesting things happening around our house.

  • I got a new fancy camera for Christmas and I can't wait to learn how to use it.
  • Peter is almost walking.
  • Charlie has started singing a lot of songs. Jingle Bells is his current favorite, but we also catch him singing Old MacDonald from time to time.
  • I just found out that my cousin, Chet, is on the new season of Real World. It starts Wednesday and I'm tempted to get cable just so that I can watch him.
  • I finally have a plan for organizing my office/craft room. It's going to be great!
  • Mike might get to design a bridge . . . more on that later if he actually gets to do it.
