Sandcastles in the Sand
50 points to whoever can name that show ;)
I loved sharing this place with my kids. I have so many wonderful memories of coming here as a kid. I always had so much time spending time with my cousins, playing in the lake and the pool, mini golfing, eating lots of Casco bars (which aren't as good since they sold out to a bigger company), staying up late playing games . . .
Now we all have kids of our own. And it's different, but amazing. There's something about the lake that makes us feel more adventurous. And a week away from home is the perfect way to rejuvenate.
Oh we're going to a Hukilau
My mom threw Ron a Hawaii 50 birthday party. It's been a while, but I haven't shared any pictures yet.
We sure had fun with the photo booth.

My Squishy at 6 Months
He's rolling all over the place, and starting to get into everything.
He loves to stick his tongue out. He plays with it, rolls it, and blows lots of raspberries.
When he gets tired he makes these high pitched screams, but the minute you put him in his bed, he stops, rolls over, and lets out a huge sigh.
He also screeches when the boys aren't giving him his space.
He loves to play with the grass. I'll try to put him on a blanket, but he rolls off as fast as he can and tries his hardest to grab the grass.
He's trying to crawl. He can get up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth a couple of times before face-planting right back to the ground.

Nine Years
In the last nine years we:
- Visited two other countries and ten different states (hopefully we'll add an eleventh soon)
- Graduated from college (well I graduated before we got married, but I consider Mike's graduation a joint effort)
- Done approximately 2000 loads of laundry. Okay I'm just kidding, I have no idea
- Had eight jobs between the two of us
- Called six different places "home" in five different cities
- Bought a house, well at least started paying for a house
- Replaced the furnace, the roof, the water heater and the dishwasher
- Were blessed with three of the most wonderful little boys anyone could ask for.
- Okay, I'm bored with writing this list, but you get the idea. ;)
I'm so grateful that I married the man that I did. I could go on and on with all the cheesy cliches, but the truth is that I'm incredibly lucky to have a husband who fits with me so perfectly.
Happy Anniversary to my Mike. Thank you for everything!

So let's talk about June . . .
Peter had a great year in Joy School. We held a little graduation ceremony at a BBQ. I can't believe how much he has progressed in the past year. I'll admit I was nervous about putting him in a co-op preschool. Not for his sake (I knew he'd love it) but for the poor teachers' sakes. I think it was kind of rough at first, but he got so much better as the year progressed. I've got him doing the library summer reading program too. We're doing mostly ABC, number, shape, animal type books so that he is actually the one reading them. He's so proud of himself. And I'm so proud of him.
Come to think of it, I'm incredibly proud of all my boys.
AJ is growing like crazy. He's rolling all over the place. And I have to keep everything vacuumed because if he can grip anything it goes straight into his mouth. He loves to laugh at whatever his brothers do. And about once a week, he sleeps through the night. It's a start I guess. Here's a couple of pics especially for Grandma & Grandpa M, who sent him this funny shirt.
Two of Mike's sisters came to visit. We haven't seen them in almost a year! We got to go on a little road trip with them to visit another sister and it was so much fun! The pictures speak for themselves.
And since this post is already too long, our lake vacation is going to have to wait for another day . . . Good night. (yawn)
