Charlie and the Chalk People

This boy . . .
has covered our patio with chalk people.

He's holding one of those ugly "realistic" looking garden rabbits. It was in the yard when we moved in and I swear I've thrown it away at least five times. Charlie keeps fishing it out of the garbage and telling me not to throw away his friends. When I got out the camera, he wanted his bunny in the picture with him.

Project List

1. a halloween advent calendar
2. quilts for the boys' beds (getting started, but probably won't finish until late spring)
3. a halloween apron
4. 10 bags for the relief society school kit service project
5. organize my family history binder so that I can use it as an example in my relief society lesson on sunday
6. costumes, which I won't actually start on until October hits, but I'm starting to collect materials
7. brittany's baby gift

On top of all that, I need to get the garage cleaned out. It's going to take forever! But it'll be worth it to be able to get my car inside during the winter months. What is it about the coming of fall that makes me want to craft and organize . . .

Bembo's Zoo

Get your kids and click HERE. I've shared this before, but it's so much fun that I thought I'd share it again.

And while my kids are playing, I'm going to get started on my HUGE to-do list. Cleaning, de-cluttering, organizing, craft projects, planning . . .

Bittersweet

I can feel the summer coming to a close. The mornings are crisp, we see kids headed off to school, Fall decorations are popping up in all the stores, and I am feeling compelled to bake and buy school supplies. It's been a good summer. Not too hot, but just hot enough to play all the time. I've loved swimming and running through the sprinklers. I've loved the BBQ and using our fire pit.

I'm a little sad to see the end in sight, although at the same time I'm thrilled to see Autumn coming because that gives me something to be super excited about . . .

I know it's horribly early to be thinking about it, but I can't help it.

I CAN'T WAIT!!

Do you have a plan for your costumes yet? Because I do!

More grandparents that we love!

(In case you're looking for him, Peter isn't in this one. He was being a cranky pants.)
