My Friends Mindy and Dave

These are two of my favorite people in the entire world! And last week, they were officially approved to adopt. They are going to make great parents!

So I'm just putting the word out there. If any of you know anyone who is looking for a fantastic couple to give a baby to, please send them to Mindy and Dave's blog or to their LDS Family Services profile . These two sites will tell a birth mother everything she needs to know about these wonderful people!

An Online Christmas Card

What with everything that we've had going on, I never did get my Christmas cards out. I've decided to write a Christmas letter here on my blog and hope you will all forgive me for not sending something fun to you in your mailboxes.

So in honor of Christmas and the New Year, here are our favorite moments of 2007!

Charlie's first birthday!

Mike winning the Road Builder's Scholarship.

Getting pregnant again (although having to actually BE pregnant would be on our worst moments of the year list)
Finding out we are having another boy!
Charlie learning to walk, run, jump, scream, climb, and kinda talk. (He has about 10 words: dad, dog, Einstein, cookie, drink, help, up, hi, and sometimes when he is really upset, mom.)
Traveling, although we've done less of it this year than ever before. I got to go see some of my favorite people, and next week we are headed to see Jimmy and his family and his new baby in New Orleans! They dont' live there, but that's where we are meeting. Long story.
Mike's graduation!!! And it's official, he has passed all his classes. We're just waiting for that degree to come in the mail.
Our move. Although we were devastated to leave the trees, the rain and all the wonderful friends we made while in school, we are very excited to be living closer to family.
Getting a house! We actually won't close until January 16th-ish, but the offer was accepted in 2007 so I'm counting it for this year. We can't wait to move in!

Our House

Yesterday we put in an offer on this house and today, after some negotiating, the offer was accepted! We're absolutely thrilled! Now we've got to worry about inspections and getting all our loan information in, but it's great to have the biggest decision made. Although we weren't planning on putting in an offer so quickly, the minute we walked into this house, we both just felt good. It just clicked. And it's good that we moved fast, because they got two more offers this morning. It's not a huge house, but it's cozy and perfect for our small family. I'll be posting more pictures soon.

Woo Hoo! We're becoming "real" people!

Semi-Officially a Graduate

Mike has FINALLY graduated . . . pending how he does on his finals. Oh joyful day! We're so excited. I think it's funny that they hold the winter commencement ceremony before finals week, but we are glad that Mike was able to participate. I forced him to, because how else would I have gotten all these "great" pictures!

Now we have a million other things to worry about. Funerals and weddings make the holiday season even more jam packed than they already are. Not that I'm complaining, it just takes a lot out of me to figure out all the logistics of where to be and when to be there. Mike doesn't start his new job with the Transportation Department until the first of January, so that gives us a few weeks to get settled. We're moving this week, putting all our stuff into storage and then camping out at my parents house for Christmas while we try to figure out where we are going to be living. Mike and I are still not good at making decisions, so wish us luck!
