Ye be Warned

These waters be crawlin' with pirates!

This little scallywag turns 6 today. SIX! When did he get so old? I'm so glad that he's such a good kid. Yes he whines and teases his little brother sometimes. But most of the time, he's a sweet, loving, helpful little boy.

Yesterday's party turned out to be a huge success. I was worried, for many reasons which I won't go in to, but I shouldn't have been. The games were a blast, cupcakes were extra yummy, friends had fun . . . and most importantly, Charlie was so happy. As for me, I'm really glad it's over.

Baby

It's weird how my pregnancy seems like a distant memory. Like it happened a long time ago and didn't actually take that long and it wasn't that bad. But I know that at the time it seemed like it was taking a million years and it was horrible! I think that a lot of things in life are like that- at least the worthwhile things are. While you are going through them, it feels like the worst possible situation. Then when it is over you barely even think about the hard part, just the amazing ending.

Some things about our Andy/Andrew/AJ (we haven't quite decided what to call him yet):

1. He's starting to be awake for more of the day, which his older brothers love.
2. He's a fairly happy baby.
3. He always wants to be held- twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
4. As a big believer in sleep training, #3 should drive me crazy, but instead I'm enjoying the cuddle time.
5. He got to wear his newborn clothes a lot longer than my other boys did. Yay for a smaller baby!
6. He smiles a lot when he sleeps.
7. He's already got a cold, and the stuffy nose keeps him up at night. It keeps me up too.
8. I think he sometimes goes to sleep purely out of annoyance with Charlie and Peter. Like he knows that if he's asleep, they'll finally leave him alone.
9. Although he still looks SO MUCH like Peter did, he's starting to get a little bit of his own look.
10. We're all still smitten. How could we not be?
