What we've been up to . . .

At the moment we are in San Diego trying to help my brother and his wife while she is in the hospital dealing with a difficult pregnancy.  We spend our days playing with some of our favorite cousins and enjoying the sunshine.  I'm not sure how long we'll be here, but with how well behaved their kids are and the beautiful weather, it's hard to care.  I think we'll just stay until the the snow is completely gone back home.

I hope everyone had an absolutely wonderful day.  We sure did.  And tomorrow is going to be even better because this little guy is turning two.

Mike is Thirty!

 

Last week, my sweet husband turned thirty.  Wanting to make a big deal out of it, but not really in the mood to throw a big party, I surprised him with a weekend getaway for the family instead.  I packed for him and everything so that he didn't know where we were going until we were headed there.  

The snow was gorgeous, the pool warm, and not having to worry about anything for three days was like heaven.  My parents even came up for part of the time so that Mike and I could have a little date.  

The cake got a little smashed on the way up there . . .
