It's time consuming, it's a pain when we're out and about, it gives Charlie quite a lot of power because I jump up and run to him whenever he says he has to go, and let's face it . . . it's just plain gross.
And when it's all over, I have potty training Peter to look forward to. (sigh of resignation)
Now I'm off to clean the toilet . . . once again . . .

yup, I am there for the 3rd time. Lucas thinks he gets a bath every time he is done with the potty. My trick for Wyatt, because he was hard to work with, was setting the timer for every 20 min. I did this when I knew we were not going anyplace. It took a week and he had it. This was after months of not getting it.
hmmm . . . a timer. Good thinking! I'll have to try that.
So sorry! Hate that too. Send them away to grandma for two weeks and ask her to do it. That is what I did with Eli. I hated it that much with Eli. Oh well. She was a gem for doing it for me. ;)
The second is soooooo much easier. Talmage almost potty trained himself at 2 1/2 because he wanted to be big like Daddy. He never learned sitting down, only standing up like his Dad. But I still have to clean the toilet often because little boys are easily distracted. Good Luck.
Confession: The two things I'm most afraid of about having small kids:
1. Dressing Newborns.
2. Potty Training!!!
My friend just potty trained her almost-2-year-old boy. Man, what a lot of work! They did the timer thing, setting it off for every 15-20 minutes. It took him a couple weeks, but he got it, and he's getting better every day.
Good luck!!!
