I Love My Yard

I've said it before. The reason I decided this was the house for me was because of the yard. I love every bit of it, and it constantly surprises me. Last week, an ugly thorny bush exploded in red and orange and yellow. It's so pretty! We play in the yard all the time. Peter lounges on a blanket while Charlie and I run through the sprinklers. The trees and bushes provide the perfect amount of shade and color. We are going to outgrow the house long before we get sick of this yard. It makes me happy every time I go outside.

I wish I had a pretty yard. I have a black thumb, I kill all plants. Maybe one day I will have a nice yard.
Yours is beautiful.

My parents used to have bushes like that. We have a lot of pictures of us standing in front of them when I was a kid. I guess my mom liked the colors too!

Your yard is beautiful! Mine will get nice some year! Somedays I wish we bought a house that had everything done all ready, but oh well.

That is why I have decided to never build a home, I need a place that has the old, beautiful growth already established. It is so fun to see the colors pop up continually during the spring, summer and fall - we are so grateful that our former home owners knew what they were doing in their garden. Enjoy your colors - they are so pretty!
