A Ridiculously Long Vacation Post

The boys had no idea that we were going. When we told them over breakfast, they didn't believe us. They thought we were kidding for about the first three hours of the trip.

Our first day there, my mom kept Caroline and the rest of us went to an Angels game. It was SO much fun! They beat the Mariners in the 10th inning and we got to see this amazing catch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxmPMcJ27qE

Sunday was just a relaxed day at the hotel. We did hit church with my mom's friend Susie and got to see their Primary program. It gave me some great ideas to use at home. ;) And we went for a walk to Downtown Disney.

We hit California Adventure first. We've been dying to see Cars Land since it opened. It really was just like walking through Radiator Springs. And the rides were so much fun too. Charlie and Peter both said that Radiator Springs racers was their favorite of the day. Squish loved The Little Mermaid ride. My favorite was Soarin' over California, which is changing to Soarin' Round the World soon. I'm glad I got to ride the California version one more time. Mike liked California Screamin. Caroline's favorite was Dot's Puddle Park. She got so wet and loved every second!

We were sitting at Flo's V8 Cafe when the neon lights came on. And just like in the movie, they played "Life Could Be A Dream" and the lights came on one at a time. It was so cool.

At Disneyland Park, we headed straight to Space Mountain. Charlie and Peter were not fans. Especially with the Halloween Ghost Galaxy additions.

But they LOVED the Jedi Training Academy. We got there early for the first show of the day. Amazingly enough, they BOTH got picked to participate! Andrew was too young, and the whole thing scared him anyway. It was such a cool experience. And so well done.

Peter got to use the force to send these two storm troopers flying. He was the only kid that got to do it and he couldn't stop talking about it all day long.

Halloween and Disneyland are the perfect combination. And adding it to the 60th Anniversary celebration made it an amazing vacation. I loved the decorations, the parades, the shows... perfection.

Coming up in another post: Mickey's Halloween Party
