Six

And to end birthday season: 20 Random things about Peter

1. He is seriously my cuddle bug. He loves to be right up next to me (or Mike or his brothers/grandparents/etc) with my arms around him.

2. He is a picky eater, and I have to force him to eat dinner most of the time.

3. I did let him pick what to make for his birthday, and he chose breakfast burritos. Most breakfast food works for him.

4. He is totally into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles right now. He discovered them at a friend's birthday party, and wanted his party to be exactly the same.

5. He sneaks food when I'm not looking. I found a stash of wrappers (mostly granola bar) in the basement last week. He's been doing it for a while I guess.

6. He really doesn't care that there is a baby coming. But I'm sure he'll love her just as much as he loves AJ once she gets here.

7. He's picky about his clothes, but his sense of style changes daily, so it's hard to tell what he's going to feel like each day.

8. He's doing well in school. I was worried a little bit at the beginning of the year- mostly because I was afraid he couldn't keep his hands to himself. But his teacher says he's doing fine. And he's on grade level for everything else.

9. He hates to read. I have to force him to do it for his homework. And he pretends he can't read as well as I know that he can. We'll be working on that a lot this summer before he gets to 1st grade.

10. He is VERY helpful and willingly does his chores. He's especially good at unloading the dishes and helping reload it.

11. He loves Panda Express. But then again, who doesn't?

12. He has great friends. And they love to play with him because he's so easy going that he will play pretty much whatever they want to play.

13. He plans to marry Mari. He says she's his best friend. She's on board too, and they talk about it like it is actually going to happen. And since they are some of our favorite people, Mike and I wouldn't mind either . . . in 25 years.

14. He has a loose tooth that he is hoping will come out before Charlie loses one. I don't think it's going to happen though.

15. He gets scared easily, especially watching movies. He complained about getting the Frozen DVD for his birthday because he thinks it's so scary when she turns to ice.

16. He always has to have the blue spoon. ALWAYS. I'm thinking of getting rid of the plastic Ikea stuff and just making them always use the metal kind like we do because it drives me crazy.

17. I've started some piano lessons with him. I don't think he's quite ready, but he and I both love the one on one time. And we're taking it really slow and playing a lot of games.

18. He can scream like nothing else when something doesn't go his way. And screaming is his first reaction to most things. We're working on that.

19. He has a hard time when Charlie gets to do things that he doesn't get to do. The concept of having to wait until he is Charlie's age, is hard for him.

20. He has the biggest, brightest, most infectious smile. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether he's genuinely happy to see me, or just trying hard to hide his mischievousness.

And with that, the birthday season banner is coming down! Yay!
