And it begins

It was interesting to watch him so excited: running around, posing for my photos, making all his crazy faces . . . But when it came down to actually getting in the car, he got this subdued attitude. He sat quietly, staring out the window. Full of anticipation.

To be perfectly honest, the first day was not for the kids. The teacher barely acknowledged them. She seemed very intent on making sure we parents had all the information we needed. In Charlie's words, the first day was "boring." But today I dropped him off and watched him walk inside, tears in my eyes, knowing that this day will be different. Today is all about the kids, helping them feel comfortable and making sure they know what a great year they are going to have. I can't wait to hear all about it . . . over lunch at Panda Express.
