I wish . . .
No, we're having fun. But we're having an "eat, sleep, play ball" kind of summer. Peter has started t-ball with a great little group of kids. We spend more time telling them to get up out of the dirt than anything else. If you walk around the field after the game, you can find little "sandcastles" all over the place. Most of them will watch the ball go right past them before they even realize they were supposed to do something. One kid used to take his mitt off and throw it at the ball before picking it up. The coach took care of that one. ;)
Charlie started pitching machine baseball and it's been a challenge. Only about half the team can even hit the ball. Charlie usually can, but he's never made it to home base before we get our three outs. The team is really improving though. And it's getting really fun to watch.
Squish insists on being on the field with everyone else and spends most of his time helping Mike coach. I think I'm going to have to hire a baseball babysitter.
I wish I had pictures to go with any of this . . . really we're having fun, but since Mike and I are team coaching with some of our friends, I don't think I've taken a single picture this summer so far. Sad. I'll have to fix that.
