So let's talk about June . . .

It started with a last day of school. Charlie has loved this year. I haven't really been impressed with his school or his teacher, but he has thrived. He's very proud of the fact that he made it all the way through without having to "pull his card." He did get in trouble once, but it was on the bus. Evidently Mackenzie wouldn't stop kissing him. After that, he decided they weren't getting married anymore. So that's that. Kindergarten was good for him, and he's so excited to start first grade next year. His friend Halle who sat next to him all year is in his same class next year, but she's the only one. All of our other friends got different teachers. I'm going to be so sad to have him gone all day long, but it's part of growing up I guess. For me as well as for him. In the meantime, he gets to spend his summer playing t-ball, jr. golf, and doing the library summer reading program.

Peter had a great year in Joy School. We held a little graduation ceremony at a BBQ. I can't believe how much he has progressed in the past year. I'll admit I was nervous about putting him in a co-op preschool. Not for his sake (I knew he'd love it) but for the poor teachers' sakes. I think it was kind of rough at first, but he got so much better as the year progressed. I've got him doing the library summer reading program too. We're doing mostly ABC, number, shape, animal type books so that he is actually the one reading them. He's so proud of himself. And I'm so proud of him.

Come to think of it, I'm incredibly proud of all my boys.

AJ is growing like crazy. He's rolling all over the place. And I have to keep everything vacuumed because if he can grip anything it goes straight into his mouth. He loves to laugh at whatever his brothers do. And about once a week, he sleeps through the night. It's a start I guess. Here's a couple of pics especially for Grandma & Grandpa M, who sent him this funny shirt.

Two of Mike's sisters came to visit. We haven't seen them in almost a year! We got to go on a little road trip with them to visit another sister and it was so much fun! The pictures speak for themselves.

And since this post is already too long, our lake vacation is going to have to wait for another day . . . Good night. (yawn)
