Some Randomness

Summer finally seems to be here and we are living outside. Tee-ball games, play dates at the park, picnics, and of course a LOT of time spent in our own backyard.

The boys live on this dirt pile, which basically means my entire house is covered in dirt. Soon the dirt pile will be completely spread out, filling all the holes in our old lawn. Then we'll have to re-seed it and try to keep the kids out while it all grows in. They'll be heartbroken. It has kept them so entertained!

I've been spending a lot of time on the hammock while they play, occasionally yelling at them to turn off the hose or stop throwing dirt and trying to reread all the Harry Potter books before the final movie comes out next month. And although I'm excited to see it, reading the books makes me realize how much more I like the books than the movies. I always knew I liked the books better, but I'm reminded that I love the world J.K. Rowling created so much more in the books. I love how everything is purple and red and cozy and warm. In the movies, especially the 3rd one, Harry's world is more dilapidated and dark. I hate the director's interpretation of the rooms at the Leaky Cauldron and the cold and "drafty-ness" of the wizarding world. Still, the ads for the last movie look amazing.

Mike is working overtime to try to finish the design for the new overpass here in town. I've seen the plans and it's going to be amazing... and so worth it! The state plans on starting construction next Spring.

And in case you haven't heard, this movie comes out tomorrow! And you can bet we'll be seeing it opening day. I know I blame the boys, but I really am just as excited as they are. ;)

Hope everyone is enjoying their Summer!

I totally agree with you about the 3rd movie being darker than the other ones. The books are way better!
